Ecommerce App Concept
As I became more interested in product UX design, I immersed myself into the world of high-fidelity mockups and prototyping. This ecommerce app is a concept I created to challenge myself in the product space. Feel free to click through the prototype I created in Adobe XD.
Project Brief
Client:
Maynooth Furniture is a new business selling affordable high-end design furniture made.
Objective:
To build an ecommerce app for consumers to browse and purchase furniture for home delivery.
User Persona:
Katherine is an executive at an international medical device company and earns a salary of $110,000 per year. She’s both style & price conscious. Katherine is updating the furniture at the 4 bedroom family home. She loves to browse style guides online. She uses Pinterest to gather her design ideas.
Opportunity:
Since the target buyer has an affinity for Pinterest, my goal was to provide an app that allowed for its users to easily gather and save design ideas. I created a “favorite” button for product photos so the user can bookmark products as she shops. I also created a “Shop by Room” experience, so the user can gather inspiration for specific products based on rooms that are put together based on certain styles.
