Hi, I'm Haley.

Hi, I’m Haley.

In my professional journey I started with startups wearing multiple hats - Graphic Designer, Web Designer, Digital Marketing Specialist, and more. While those roles didn't feel like the perfect fit, they led me to my true passion - UX Design.

My interest in product design blossomed during my time in Marketing at an ecommerce inventory management startup. I discovered the importance of user-friendly software when I saw users struggling to convert from free trials to paid accounts. Convinced I could make a difference, I immersed myself in UX Design courses, workshops, and resources.

As a Digital Product Designer at Lowe’s Companies, Inc., I honed skills that extend beyond design. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Developers, and UX Researchers, I delved into information architecture, user testing, user research, and more. Above all - what truly drives me is my unwavering empathy for the user.

Optimizing UX in Everything

I’m at my best when usability and design meet; enter my absolute favorite hobby, ceramics. I began working with clay 11 years ago, before I started my UX career, and I’m constantly amazed that my oldest hobby is so entrenched in UX design.

I approach my pottery the same way I would a digital product; with empathy for the user. I find myself thinking, “Is this mug’s handle sturdy enough? Does it fit nicely into a pair of hands?” Whether it be a digital or physical product, I pride myself on meticulous, user-centered design, and I enjoy the building process from start to finish.

When I started working with Haley, she was an entirely self-taught UX Designer. Learning the rules, best practices, and the processes of UX all on your own is a daunting task, a task I don’t think most of us are capable of, and Haley not only succeeded, but she also excelled.
