Sticky Fingers Web Design
I was hired as a contract web designer by IronIvy Consulting, a marketing firm based in Charleston, SC, to redesign the website for Stick Fingers Ribhouse. The goal for the redesign was to streamline and highlight Online Ordering. Feel free to click through the wireframe or high fidelity prototype I created in Adobe XD.
Project Brief
Client:
Sticky Fingers Ribhouse is a franchise of restaurants specializing in ribs and southern food.
Objective:
To build a website that is easier to navigate, simplifies the catering process, creates SEO opportunities for individual locations, and emphasizes online ordering. The site needs to be designed for a WordPress site with a theme that could easily be managed by the marketing team at IronIvy Consulting or the internal team at Sticky Fingers Franchises.
Opportunity:
CATERING: The original Sticky Fingers website featured multiple parallel catering options that were difficult to navigate and had different call-to-actions. One workflow asked that you call to discuss the catering options, another had an online request form, and a third had an online checkout through WooCommerce (that the company wanted to eliminate altogether). My goal was to simplify the catering options and combine them into a single online request form.
SEO: In order to increase SEO opportunities I created landing pages for each location. Each page can be optimized for keywords in each location, such as “best barbecue in Chattanooga” or “Myrtle Beach barbecue restaurants.”
ORDER ONLINE: While the original website has an Online Ordering tab in the main navigation, it does not stand out. My goal was to make Online Ordering the main call-to-action wherever necessary.
WORDPRESS: I designed the website to be built with a WordPress theme to allow for easy customization by the teams at IronIvy and Sticky Fingers Franchise.
